(Reporter Chen Jiun-jiun of Military News Agency, Miaoli, 17th) As the 1st Battalion of Hsinchu Reserve Brigade moved into the second-day course of the "New 14-day Recall Training" today, recruits were re-trained in operation expertise for organizational weapons at tactical positions so that they could familiarize themselves with the essentials of weapons operation and have strengthened combat capability as reserve forces.
To properly acquaint recruits with the essentials of weapon operations, Hsinchu Reserve Brigade arranged for recruits to conduct recurrent specialty training with various organizational weapons at each company station. Under the assistance of training cadres, they carried out training with various weapons, including rifles, platoon machine guns, 60 mortars, and more. Such training methods as principle explanations, group rotation training, and practice by cadres have helped maintain the combat energy of reserves soldiers.
Under the guidance and correction of instructors, as well as repeated practice, recruits have gradually become familiar with the essentials of operation, and their stability with weapon operations has increased, thus achieving the training effect.
