President Tsai pointed out at the luncheon, the 499th are the main elite force in the cockpits of the key fighter jets – the Mirage 2000. She has seen first-hand the heavy-duty training of the battalion, a strong force with high morale. With the 499th patrolling the Taiwan Strait airspace, the people of Taiwan should absolutely have no worries.
